One of Italy's museums of italian medieval art boasts an axcptional collection of paintings by Giunta Piseno, Simone Martini,Masaccio, Gentile da Fabriano, Beato Angelico, Benozzo Gozzoli, Ghirlandaio and others; sculptures by Nicola and Giovanni Piseno, Donatello, Andrea della Robbia and Nino Piseno and Valdambrino; a collection of decorated Islamic ceramics (10th-13th centuries) comprising over 600 items and exquisite illuminated manuscripts (12th-14th centurie).
